Shop Essentials for your Short Term Rental Property
Furnishing a new rental property can be a daunting task filled with endless options and comparisons. To help you narrow your search, I have curated a list of my favorite Amazon products* that I personally use and recommend to my clients.
*Note some of these links are Amazon affiliate links, meaning, if you use them to make a purchase, I may get something in return. Not to worry - I'll never suggest a product that I myself have not vetted for quality assurance and would put in any of my properties. Thanks!
Bedroom
When thinking about your vacation rental bedroom set-up, consider this:
-
Have at least two sets of sheets handy for same-day bookings to avoid a laundry issue
-
Use all white bedding that can be easily bleached to remove stains
-
Consider getting beds of all the same size so that all of your sheets are interchangeable
-
Guests like to have a place to unpack and set their things, include at least one set of drawers and one night stand in each bedroom
-
Try to purchase platform beds so that there's no need for additional box springs
-
If the room gets a lot of light, be sure to add black out curtains to your list to enhance guest experience
Bathroom
While the entire rental should be professionally cleaned, the bathroom should have a near spotless appeal. Nobody likes a dirty bathroom!
-
Create a crisp, clean hotel-like feel by using all white towels - you can always bleach the stains away. I offer 1.5 bath towels per guest and my units have washers and dryers so they can do their own laundry as needed.
-
Always have at least two additional toilet paper rolls available under the sink
-
Do not leave shampoo, conditioner, and soap behind from previous guests. I recommend a dispenser that can be mounted easily and refilled for hygiene purposes
